How do Fundappeal.com webshops work?

The concept behind our webshop is very simple. Every time you make a purchase from a listed retailer a small amount of commission is paid to our group. When you click on a retailers link you will be taken to the retailers web site and will make the actual purchase with them.

Please be aware that you must visit a retailers web site via our webshop. in order for our group to receive commission. If you go directly to a retailers web site we will not be able to track your purchase and no donation will be made.

How is my group paid?

Retailers pay commission to Fundappeal.com for every purchase made through our webshop. Fundappeal.com in turn passes this commission to us by cheque at the start of every month.

Will I be charged more for my purchases through a webshop?

No! The price you pay through our webshop is exactly the same. Clicking on a retailer's link on our webshop will take you to the same web site as if you visited it directly. It's the same web site, with the same products and the same prices, GUARANTEED.

The commission paid to our group comes out of the retailers profit margin (it's part of their marketing budget).

How much is paid to my group for my purchases?

How much commission is paid will depend upon the retailer you buy from and how much you spend. Some retailers pay a fixed amount for a certain action while others pay a percentage of the final price. The amount paid to your group is always displayed on our webshop.

Your group will receive 2% of the total value of the holiday.

Example 2:
You buy home insurance online through Barclays Insurance.
Your group will receive a fixed amount of £50.

Your group will receive 23p.

How can I be sure my group has received the commission for the purchases I have made?

All purchases made from our webshop are tracked by the individual retailers. This information is then passed on to Fundappeal.com for distribution to our group. The administrator of our webshop (Alison Owen-Morley) has full access to reports showing exactly how much has been raised by via our webshop.

Can I raise money for my group without making any purchases?

Yes. Our webshop features many retailers who will pay commission when you complete a simple action, such as registering on a web site, completing a survey or even entering a competition. Please visit the competition and free stuff categories for further details.

Are there any other ways that I can help?

The more purchases that are made through our webshop, the higher the amount of funds raised for our group.
